How to make cinnamon oil for hair

The oil is extracted from the bark of cinnamon and saturated with an essential oil to form cinnamon oil. It not only reduces hair problems but also helps treat stress and dermatitis. Here’s how to make cinnamon oil in the comfort of your own home.

1. Thermoplastic

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon powder: 250 g
  • Olive oil: 1 liter

Note The ratio of olive oil to cinnamon powder should be 4:1 .

Procedure

  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan.
  2. Add the ground cinnamon once the oil is hot enough. While the heat continues, mix the mixture.
  3. Leave the mixture to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat as soon as the cinnamon smell becomes strong. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
  5. Strain the mixture using a fine strainer and store the oil in an airtight container.

It is advised not to reheat olive oil more than required. You can also make cinnamon oil without using heat.

2. Without heat

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon sticks: a pack
  • Olive oil: 1 liter
  • gauze
  • mason jar

Procedure

  1. Put all the cinnamon sticks in a jar, put as much as possible.
  2. Pour olive oil into a mason jar. Fill it well so that all the cinnamon sticks are covered with oil.
  3. Seal mason jar airtight.
  4. Place the jar near a window, in the sun.
  5. Keep it there for about three weeks. Shake the jar at least once every day to make sure the oil mixes with the cinnamon sticks and extracts the essence.
  6. After three weeks, drain the oil from the jar with a cotton cloth and place the mixture in an airtight container.
